Sweet Bliss Bakery is a family owned and operated bakery and cafe. We offer a full breakfast and lunch menu that includes sandwiches, salads, quiche and soup. Our bakery includes cheesecakes, cakes, pies, tortes, tiramisu, scones, muffins, cinnamon buns, brownies, blondies, cookies, cookie bars, cream puffs and other specialty items.

The inspiration for Sweet Bliss Bakery started at the age of 12, when I made my first cheesecake. It was my mother’s recipe for a French-style cheesecake that she baked for a local restaurant. She was an accomplished gourmet cook, and loved baking and preparing meals for our family. Watching her in that little kitchen in North Carolina sparked my life-long passion for baking.

In 2001, I opened my first home bakery, Afton Delights, offering over 50 cheesecake flavors to restaurants. I earned the nickname “The Cheesecake Lady”. In 2004, I founded Ambrosia Bakery and Deli in Nellysford, operating it for several years. In 2013, I opened Sweet Bliss Bakery in my home in Crozet, baking for restaurants in the local area until the end of 2017.

I’m so excited to be returning to Nelson County. I feel so grateful to be able to do what I love in such a beautiful setting, and reunite with old friends. It feels like coming home.
